A. J. Granoff was born on February 22, 1896, in Kiev, Russia. He immigrated with his family to the United States in 1904, and lived in New York City, Palmerton and Allentown, Pennsylvania until 1915. In 1915 he settled in Kansas City, Missouri. He received his LL.B in 1920 from the University of Kansas Law School. In 1924 he became a member of Achtenberg, Fredman and Granoff law firm in Kansas City. From 1947 to 1948 he was involved in efforts, along with Eddie Jacobson, to persuade President Ha...
